This movie version of the cartoon classic of Popeye starts at the beginning of the whole Popeye series. Which is also based off the comic book of Popeye. Popeye heads towards an island where he is introduced to the community of Sweethaven. That is where he meets up with Olive Oyl, the Oyl family, Wimpy, Swee'pea, and his big time bully Bluto for the very first time.
