The Year Without a Santa Claus
Release: December 10, 1974

The Year Without a Santa Claus is a 1974 Rankin/Bass stop motion animated television special. The story is based on Phyllis McGinley's 1956 book of the same name, illustrated by Kurt Werth. When Santa wakes up on Christmas Eve with a cold, his doctor says he should make some changes to his routine, and that many people no longer believe in him anyway. To prove him wrong, Santa sends out his two elves Jingle and Jangle to prove to the world he still exists. The elves get together to travel the world and get children to believe, but they still face a problem in the form of the bickering Snow Miser and Heat Miser.
