Very similar to your Road Runner and Coyote series, it features an ant and an aardvark. Every episode, the aardvark tries to catch the ant.

"The Ant and the Aardvark" followed a blue Aardvark (voiced by comedian John Byner), always trying to catch an red Ant named Charlie (also voiced by Byner), who successfully out-smarts the pesky Aardvark. (with the exception of "Scratch a Tiger" and "Mumbo Jumbo") In the episodes "I've Got Ants in my Plans" and "Odd Ant Out", the blue Aardvark encountered the green Aardvark who was fighting over the Ant.

The series first appeared theatrically from March 5, 1969 ended in May 16, 1971 after 17 theatrical shorts. The series reran in September 1972 on "The Pink Panther Show" to fill "The Inspector's" gap after they aired all 34 Inspector shorts. The series reran again in 1976 on "The Pink Panther Laugh and a Half Hour and a Half Show".

This series was seen in several syndication package that carried "Pink Panther". It was last seen on early 2000 after Cartoon Network aired it, along with other DFE cartoons. The series remained to be one of the DePatie-Freleng favorites.
