I had a Dear Diary. I remember there being a character limit on entries; it was like trying to cram your whole day into a Tweet or a text message. Also. . . forgot my little-kid password! So all those abbreviated entries are lost to me now, if the batteries didn't leak and render it inoperable. . .

I was first in my class to have this and my friend, Joy, was hella jealous. She kept asking to borrow it.

I had this one but with no voice playback (the original) and the deluxe dear diary that one was dark purple could actually talk, but I couldn't record my voice, and it could send messages to other Messenger diaries.

I wanted either that or the Clueless version but I had to settle for a "Data Pad". Basically the same thing except it was teal, didn't talk, and was cheaper.

    Quote O' Matic
    • Dottie: Hello?
      Pee-wee: Hi, Dottie, it's Pee-wee!
Dottie: Pee-wee? Where are you calling from?
      Pee-wee: Texas!
      Dottie: Huh?
      Pee-wee: Honest! I'll prove it!
      [singing]
Pee-wee: The stars at night are big and bright...
Passersby: [singing and clapping] ... deep in the heart of Texas!
