Really, if you weren't going to let us down, then you wouldn't provide us with educational content, hence why kids didn't like Nickelodeon in the early 80s.

yeah after shows like hey dude, adventures of pete and pete, clarissa explains it all and salute your shorts left the channel died with it

Nickelodeon fully let us down at the exact moment the Big Orange Couch was given away to some kid in 1999.

I agree with andrewrae Nick let us down. After Doug, Ren and Stimpy,Rugrats, and Rocko's modern life. This is when it started to change its programming.

Snap. Hard to believe, but the sad truth is, about 10 years later, Nick finally -would- let us down, what with a good majority of that progamming haveing been dropped by then.

I don't think it's one of the first, but it's a very early one at least. Found it on a mix tape of rare YCDTOTV episodes.

WOW! I'm assuming that this is possibly the FIRST ad for Nickelodeon EVER! I mean, the channel DID originate in the late 70s, I think!
    Quote O' Matic
    • Rufus: I think it's better to have ideas. You can change an idea. Changing a belief is trickier. Life should be malleable and progressive; working from idea to idea permits that. Beliefs anchor you to certain points and limit growth; new ideas can't generate.
