Playstation - Final Fantasy VII commercial (1990)

I loved that game! I was never able to play it back then, but it's a good thing it was re-released onto the Playstation Sotre in 2009.

bought a Playstation in 1997 just to play this game (i upgraded from my Sega Genesis). it IS the best game ever made, even though the gameplay graphics look really bizarre after playing the fancy-schmancy stuff from today. this was the first game to really captivate me, and years later, it still does.

FF7 is the best game ever...in fact the best story ever. If it were a book or movie it would be the best of those ever too.

Best Game Ever! FFX was close to being just as good. I hope they will continue the franchise for the Wii and PS2

I thought I heard Square-Enix had continued plans for Kingdom Hearts including a special edition for the Wii called Mushroom Kingdom Hearts which would introduce Mario into the franchise.

Final Fantasy VII even by todays standard is one of the greatest games ever made. Final Fantasy although growing away from its roots is still the 3rd best selling video game franchise ever; this is partly due to the success of Final Fantasy VII.

The person "On" who posted that Kingdom Hearts was way better than Final Fantasy is pretty ignorant. The only reason Kingdom Hearts was such a huge success is the fact there are Final Fantasy characters present. I also like how "On" calls Final Fantasy nerdy and cliched when he bought Kingdom Hearts for the "Disney Experience"; for the record Disney is pretty childish. I will say, Kingdom Hearts is a good franchise, but Square-Enix won't continue it after the 3rd installment is released.

My favorite game of all time

FFVII is perhaps the most acclaimed game of the series and company alone. I recall seeing the commerical in the form of a preview at a movie theatre.

And please, Square, make an actually intimidating villain for once. Preferably one who doesn't look like a chick. EVIL CANNOT BE PRETTY!!!

I never could get into the Final Fantasy series. They all seem to "samey" to me.

Anyway, I LOVE Final Fantasy VII... my favorite FF game to date. ^^ Yuffie and Tifa rock... and so does Vincent. =D

I too loved this game alot. But somewhing about this commercial isn't right. Why did they show that a main character died in the commercial? I think that the commercial gave too much of it away right there. That's like saying Darth Vader is Lukes father during the commercial.

Final Fantasy VII was the reason I got a PlayStation. Awesome game - definitely one of the best, but VI is still my all-time favorite.

Well, to make it sound easier, AMERICA screwed up the names! For example, "Final Fantasy IV" for SNES was incorrectly named, "Final Fantasy II" because the REAL "Final Fantasy II" (which was made for NES) never came to America. The same went for "Final Fantasy VI", which was also incorrectly named, but this time as, "Final Fantasy III", since the REAL "Final Fantasy III" was also released for the NES but never made it to America either. I believe they did this re-naming crap so that gamers who played the original for NES wouldn't feel left out. I admit, that even I was tricked into thinking that IV was REALLY II at first!

I submitted this commercial, considering the fact that this is one of my favorite FF games of all time next to I, IV, VI, VIII, IX, and X! I hope you people enjoy it!
