Wendy's Kids Meal (1980)

These kids better be glad that they have a Wendy's in town. They would starve because dead beat mother won't spend a dime more than a dollar to feed them! She needs to be locked away for child negligence. "Kids: somedays you love 'em and other days..well..." What a bitch of a mother. If you listen closely at the end of the commerical when she thanks Wendy's, you can hear her kids thank Wendy's, too.

Kids HAVE to eat?

Kids...must...eat.

wait...did she say she rewarded her kids with food for being good? I took a childcare class once, and the teacher told us that it's probably not a good idead to do so, although that doesn't mean it won't happen. Then kids will expect to eat out everytime they are good.


I know that's not the point of the comercial, but that thought just occured to me.

To be totally honest, I used to work alongside a food stylist at an advertising agency in Chicago. The fries probably WERE made of plasticene (the same clay-type stuff the California Raisins were made of)!

The food looked like it was made out of Play-Doh!
