This IS a work truck. What your thinking of are play trucks. For playing in dirt and TOWing 5 ton toys. High horsepower is only needed when hauling big trailers or accelerating really hard. Without a trailer, all vehicles will overwork their suspension before their engines. I have a stationwagon with under 100 hp. When loading it I worry about stress on the suspension long before the engine.

    BS it's a work truck
i have a 95 and it has less than 100hp and the 2 times i ever tried to take it off roading both times i had to call to get it toed. so lesson, but it still is running strong 101,000mi later so
FORD RANGER= good reliability and gas mileage but shitty design, function slow as hell so u cant race it because ANYTHING else will beat it, tops out at 95mph,and cant have any fun with it off road, and cant toe anything much bigger than a jetski (literally) it's totally worthless as a truck.
