I remember bieng a child and this add making me sad and chilling my bones, Im now twenty-six and showed my fiance and our mutual friend whom had never seen it and they still felt the same way..that's power. Chilling message

Yep, we'd all burn if we were made out of cardboard!
I also seriously think a simple forest fire would turn a human family into ashes, unless they were cut out of a cardboard box.

Even the Ad Council's recent PSA with Smokey Bear, "Fuse," doesn't compare to the extreme terror-bone tickling of this one...

I agree with Blade On. You need a good combination of two to make a much more effective PSA.

I like the way the music changes toward the end of this ad, at the point where Smokey Bear's image appears on screen. The ad has a nice, sinister feel to it, which I like in ads of this kind.

I don't remember this one, and I'm glad. It really is creepy, seems like most PSA's from the 80's were.
