Dance Magic Barbie (1980)

i like the dance magic barbie doll.

oooh she was my favorite barbie, until her lips stopped working! shoot my parents had to buy two of her because my sister and I didn't want to share.

I always wanted that doll but never got it.

I had her.

OMG I had this Barbie when I was little!I loved it.Just look at her hair!So 80's.

And we wonder why society prizes youth and looks over anything else. Barbie taught little girls to be shallow, and put unrealistic standards up for girls, no one, well almost no one, could ever hope to look like barbie. And the new age in shallowness: Bratz, which are basically barbie's children, even though they're supposed to be a different line completely. These toys turned girls into little bitches, shallow, conceited, looks obsessed. Ugh.

I definitely remember the commercial, but never had the doll.

Yup yup. I had her. Did not know her lips changed color...
