I loved this thing. I wish I still had it too. Got it the Christmas after the movie came out. I played with it so much that I actually wore out the speed control but it still worked though lol.

I seriously created radio shows with this thing. I listened to them for my own entertainment. I think this is why I'm a filmmaker now :)

This was all the rage thanks to Home Alone 2. I wanted it, but never got one sadly.
paperorplastic Posted 6 years 6 months ago
I got this for Christmas (I didn't want the Talk Girl because it was pink -- eww!) right after it came out. I seriously counted down the days until Christmas morning, I was that excited...

After about five minutes with this thing, I realized that the commercial made it look a hell lot cooler than it actually was. But it wasn't a total loss since it made a pretty decent walkman.

onemanfreakshow Posted 6 years 10 months ago

Jaymoon Posted 7 years 3 months ago
I remember we had this, and also the pen version. It recorded like 10 seconds max, and you couldn't even understand simple speech that was recorded on it.
marcometer Posted 7 years 4 months ago
After seeing Home Alone 2, I didn't think the existed. But when viewing the Toys R' Us catalog and saw it. I got it for Christmas, that was the year I got everything I wanted (from my Dad's side of the family). Never happend again, the next year my half brother was born :(

I had a talkboy watch. It was way cooler. I recorded a lady in church on christmas singing and I played it for my sister after church and she cracked up. You could even make it go fast or slow. I miss it very much.

dalmatianlover Posted 9 years 1 month ago
I had a ton of fun with this toy! It broke a couple of times. There were also some times when we had a couple friends over, and they messed around with it a lot. For some reason, my brother never liked the speed control. Ahh, memories.
    sizz_leteen Posted 9 years 1 month ago
I so wanted the TalkGirl Recorder.
sonmanic Posted 9 years 2 months ago
After seeing Home Alone 2, it justified my purchase of one!
