Why I don’t know much retro.

The pain of writing an article.

I wanted to write a great article but as I searched and searched

for something retro to write an article about but I have come up empty handed, then I thought to myself.

I am going to write about looking for something to write about with a little bit of reminiscing.

My childhood was full of great memories but nothing that I feel would interest anyone else. I sat up thinking about something to write about and I came up with why I don’t know much about anything and from looking in the:
I’ve noticed what I do know has already been talked about.

I’m going to start with something that is big on RetroJunk.

Video games: Mainly the Nintendo (NES)

because that is the only game system I had while growing up, but I didn’t have too many games and playing on an old black and white television wasn’t too fun.

I’m not a gaming guru and I don’t know much about gaming from experience.

The second thing I wanted to write about was music.

Unlike most parents, my parents didn’t care what I listened to. Music always played a part in my life. I can remember when I was in grade school my father would rock out to AC/DC: Highway to Hell at least once a week.

I remember it like it was yesterday. The year was 1996 and watching for the first time I saw three videos that changed my musical life.

Tha Crossroads by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin' New) by Coolio

Ironic by Alanis Morissette

Since then I have been hooked on music, but I don’t know enough to write about it.

The next thing I was going to write about was television.
These were my top four favorite shows on Friday nights even after the lineup changed.

Apart from T.G.I.F. I really don’t know much about TV..

In conclusion that is why I don’t think writing articles are for me, but I enjoy reading them. I have a few ideas and someday I may write a real article as soon as come up with something people would want to read.

Peace
Bigmada

WTF did i just read? If you just left out the bragging about how you cant write an article, and focused on these subjects, and changed the title to somthing like my childhood memorys, or how i remember my childhood this article woulded be half as bad. This is just a sad excuse for an article.

Well, you probably could right a decent article in the future if you put your mind to it. I mean you came up with some great items, you just need to tell us a little more about them and what they meant to you. For example we all remember Coolio and Alanis Morrasette, but its not enough to tell us that they did change your life, you need to tell us how those videos changed your life, what you took from them. Similarly it is great to see the old TGIF line up, but you need to tell us a bit more about the shows and what you liked about them. Take it from me, Retrojunkies get anoyed with bare bones articles like this one that rev up our nostolgic engines, but them stop short on the trip dowm memory lane. For example, don't go and tease me with pictures of Mr. Belvedere and then not deliver with the memories and personal perspectives on the show. Take me back to some of the best episodes and remind me of some of Bleveders greatest moments.

It was a good try... though I'll give you a thumbs up for talking about the NES. The NES rocks the house.

That was without a doubt the most pointless article I've ever read, not trying to be mean or anything but if you don't want to write an article just don't.
