These two heavy hiters Duke it out in a battle of numbers

These are all based on aproxamate figures and could cange due to series and time due to new games being released and more recent games could sell mor but as of the 16th of November 2010 these are the figures.

PokÃ©mon and Halo two big heavy hitters in the both old (depending on defintion) and modern game industry. Well thets look at the facts they are both two huge franchies, could be seen as overated, two completely differnt generes and were released at the time two huge aspects in the video game industry either got big in the western world or even became a posibility on home consoles.

Now one more thing befor I start I'm not a huge fan of the Halo series but I'm a huge fan of PokÃ©mon so that is why I'm not basing it on my opinion because PokÃ©mon would win and make halo fans mad at me (witch they'll probably be after this article any way)

ROUND 1:
So to begin we have the origionals so to make this a little more fare it will be:

PokÃ©mon red and blue: 23.64 million units

Halo-Combat Evolved and Halo 2

5 Million + 8 Million =13 million

Winner Round 1: PokÃ©mon by 10.64 million units.

Round 2:
The latest games

PokÃ©mon HeartGold and SoulSilver: 10.93 Million Units

Halo Reach and Halo3 odst

3.3 million (north america)+ 3 million = 6.3 million

Winner Round 2: PokÃ©mon by 4.63 million Units.

Final Round:
Pokemon Red, Blue, Heart Gold and Soul Silver

10.93+23.64=34.57 Million unit Combined

Halo combat evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3(to make it a little fare), Halo 3.odst and Halo Reach

13 Million Combined

6.3 Million Combined
and including halo 3

8.1 million
Halo's Combined units sold=27.4 Million units

Winner of the final round: PokÃ©mon with 7.17 million more units than the Whole halo series.

Origionaly I was just ading the two origionals with the two new games I just through halo 3 in at last minute to give them a fighting chance but aganst the whole PokÃ©mon rpg series (excluding the pinball, tcg vg and colsole spinoffs) the series came to a 121.13 Million units in total.

But also remember these were all aproxomate unit and could change over time so as I sayed as of wirting this article these figures are correct and are subject to change.

not exactly an article, not to mention half way through you already new which one sold more.

There are so many reasons this article failed on Retro Junk. For one thing, the subject matter isn't nearly retro enough. For another, it's a terrible article. Why compare these two?

did you even proofread before posting your article? there's a good handful of spelling mistakes that i found. also if you want to talk about a certain subject about what game franchise did better in sales, you don't have to give us numerals, just say which one did better, because looking for sources on these things such as wikipedia counts as plagiarism
