This is Horror Fan Dude again. The fourth "Final Destination" film was just released and it was surprisingly a box office hit. Probably because it was in 3-D.

Anyway, I want to do an article on the first three "Final Destination" films since the new one came out. I know these films aren't nostalgic since they came out at the beginning of the new millenium but hey, why not.

If you have not seen the "Final Destination" films, I'll explain what they are about. Each film's plot is about a group of people who are destined to be killed by a supernatural force and the people try to cheat death. That's just a short summary of the plot to each film. I'll explain more about it.

Let's start with the first film.

Final Destination (2000)

The Story:
This is the first installment in the "Final Destination" series. The movie is about a group of college or high school kids who are going a Airline flight to Paris, France. Their flight is called Flight 180. When they get on the plane, one of the kids Alex has a premonition of the plane exploding and everybody on it getting killed. He tells everybody on the plane that it will explode but nobody believes him. He does manage to get his friends and his school teacher off the plane. After that, Alex, his friends and his school teacher witness the plane actually exploding. They survived.

However, a supernatural force is going to kill them all. Alex has to save his friends from all getting killed.

What I say about it:
A Cool supernatural horror movie with an original idea, suspense, blood and gore, and Tony Todd from "Candyman." Check this horror film out.

Now it's time to talk about the second film.

Final Destination 2 (2003)

This is the second "Final Destination" film. It has the same plot as the last film. This time it's about a group of people surviving a highway accident and then they have to try to survive Death. The cast in this one are much older people compared to the last film's cast. You got a few teenagers and like six adults being the victims. There is a bigger body count and there are some gory death scenes.

What I say about it:
This movie can count as nostalgic I guess. I remember the first time I watched it. One night when I was like 14 or 15, I watched "Final Destination 2" on The WB channel. It was the first time I saw a "Final Destination" movie. I watched it with my brother and it creeped me with it's gruesome death scenes like the part where the blonde guy gets impaled with the ladder through his eye. Ouch! Even if I was watching the tv edited version, it was still creepy. My brother and I consider it the best "Final Destination" film.

Now I'll talk about the third film.

Final Destination 3 (2006)

Same plot once again. Nothing's different. This time the victims are all teenagers and the premonition takes place at a roller coaster. A girl has a premonition that she and her friends will die in a roller coaster accident. She and her friends survive the accident, think they can go on with their lives and then they realize Death is after them.

What I say about it:
This is my least favorite. I don't know why. I just don't like this one much.

I saw the new Final Destination movie. It was good. It's better than "Final Destination 3." I think it's about time the series ended. Unfortunately, it may not since the new one was a box office hit.

The Final Destination films are good horror films. Check them out.

I'm the Horror Fan Dude. Have a nice day.
