Thunderbirds
Debut: December 15, 1965
Ended: December 15, 1966

"Thunderbirds" was created by Gerry Anderson, the man famous for his "Supermarionation" animation technique featuring marionettes, in 1965. The show revolved around Jeff Tracy, a millionaire ex-astronaut who owned his own private island with his five sons. But unbeknownst to the world, his five sons were pilots of superb rescue vehicles, and were part of the rescue team International Rescue. "Thunderbirds" went off the air in 1966, but 2 "Supermarionation" movies were made in the 1960s and a live-action version in 2004.
