Benji

Benji is a stray who has worked his way into the hearts of a number of the townspeople, who give him food and attention whenever he stops by. His particular favorites are a pair of children who feed and play with him against the wishes of their parents. The children are kidnapped, the parents and the police cannot find them. Benji sets out to search for the children. Benji is the first film in a series of nine about the golden mutt named Benji. It was written and directed by Joe Camp and was released in 1974. It received one Academy Award nomination for the Best Music, Original Song category.
