Strawberry Shortcake Meets the Berrykins is a 1985 animated television special from Canada's Nelvana Limited, and the last one until DiC's recent revival to feature the American Greetings character, Strawberry Shortcake. Strawberry rids Strawberryland of a strange, horrible smelling purple cloud with the help of her new friends, the Berrykins The special was featured in Hallmark Home Entertainment's video presentation of The Care Bears Movie in 1995. By coincidence, it was also shown as a double-bill in UK cinemas ten years earlier along with The Care Bears Movie on the latter's UK cinema release in late 1985.
