A Cricket in Times Square
Release: April 24, 1973

A Connecticut cricket named Chester C. Cricket gets accidentally trapped in a picnic basket and finds himself in the Times Square subway station in New York. He is founded by a boy named Mario whose family owns a newspaper stand in the station and is kept as pet. Soon Chester along his new animal friends Tucker (a mouse) and Harry (a cat) discover that his chirp can create violin type music after listening to music and became famous. This animated television special by Chuck Jones was adapted from a book by George Seldon.
