In your opinion what´s the best Tekken game?
Personally I think is Tekken 3
Because Tekken 3 has lots of Fighters including one of my favourite fighter Gon! :)

Lei Wulong rules. Plus the movie player unlockable option where you could play the endings of all Tekkens was a really cool bonus.
BUT, I haven't got my hands on Tekken 5 yet, and I've heard it is the penultimate of the Tekken games. I can't wait. (Actually, I guess I have been waiting technically)

I've played 5, but don't own it. What's "penultimate"?
The summation of the series in preparation for it nearing the end. I've heard this could be the last or one more. That's just what I'm hearing, though. Personally if they keep the storylines going and the fight engine strong, I'd play Tekken 20. Is it true ALL previous versions of the game are unlockable on Tekken 5?
Also, I know they are fun characters, but is anyone with me on thinking the animal characters and the wooden man don't belong in this mostly serious fighter?
Yeah, Tekken's storyline is in pieces and confusing at best, but there is an ongoing main storyline involving the Mishima clan (Heihachi, Kazuya, Jin, etc.), but they also have storylines for everyone else. If you are really interested, there a great dedicated website with the storylines from every game.

i think the the best tekken game is tekken 2 good endings especially annas hee hee hee hee :oops:
Deffinetly tekken 3. But if you want quality go with 4
As it stands right now, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is the lastest, best, and most finely tuned in terms of balance and gameplay. It's out in the Arcades right now, and it's an update to console T5.
It's also the best looking, and to answer someone's previous question, yes, Tekken 1,2,3 are all unlockable in arcade perfect form on console T5.

Tekken five blatantly! although i prefer hwoarang in tekken 4, could do his combo's much easier.

my little brother used to always pick eddie in tekken 3 and i had to learn how to get around his cartwheels and go in for the kill..hhaha :lol:

Definitely Tekken 3, when Buddies come over we are still playing it (but it`s not allowed to play as Eddie :wink: )
tekken 3 and tekken tag tournament are the best. my favorite characters were paul, law, jen, eddie, bruce, and jen's cousin.(forgot his name) but the last level in tekken 3 is so easy :roll:

I like teke 3 the best. Gon is the coolest character.
Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection on PS3 complete with online play is the best right now, though I think Tekken 6 will top it. Tekken 1-3 are also real solid games, but I can't say I was a huge fan of 4.
tekken 1 because it's the only one I ever cleared.

I like the arcade version of "Tekken 2" because I like how Jun is dressed in that game (unlike in the PS1 version).
