Ah, for those simpler days where the person who got the microswitched joystick always won those stick waggling olympic games.
Games like Decathlon on the Atari always gave me a blister on the palm of my hand from waggling too much and too hard, at least that's my excuse and i'm sticking to it.
The Atari joystick was solid though. You could brain a burglar with it, throw it off a multistorey carpark and still it would be good for a game of Zaxxon afterwards.
I miss joysticks too, the most easiest way of gaming. The last system with simple controls is the SNES. The newer systems controls are too confusing for my little hands and all of those buttons. That's just too many.

if the game was top-notch awesome, i would have bought it
When controllers start to have more buttons than a person has fingers, it's time to return to a simpler time :P.
i actually sold a NES joystick when i ebayed my NES... it was my favorite way to play the NEs...
it was this one...
