This was one of my Favorite Trilogy's on the NES next to Double Dragon and Super Mario Bros. I would like to bring up 2 of my fonded memories of the Ninja gaiden games. I would like to share my story. Sit back, relax and enjoy the tale of my ninja gaiden trilogy story!
Ninja Gaiden:Now before I begin I just want to say this was the not the first one I played, Ninja Gaiden II : Dark sword of chaos was. Everyone told me the first NG was the same as the arcade which i really didn't care too much for. Anyways I was Reading my FuncoLand Paper one day after work and I saw "Ninja Gaiden - $4.99" I was like "hot diddly damn, I am going there". I picked up the game and was kinda psyched because I wanted to know the truth and let the truth be known it played like the sequel and was loving how crazy it was to jump around and be lightning fast! Now around the 2nd week I owned the game I managed to get to the final stage of it and managed to get to the masked devil then Jaquio...how ever I died and it started me back all the way to 6-1 and I remember throwing the controller down and yelling "You stupid Mother F***er, I hate this God Da** game! Ryu you and your mom are lazy, weak Who***" I turned the game off and decided to say the hell with NG. However a month later I decided "ok,time to do it regardless" I started at 9:30pm and after many cigarettes, swear words and anger problems I won and I felt the exausting pleasure of victory that I screamed, that wasn't good though since I woke my mom up :(.
Now just recentlly I did something so golden that I can't believe it at Feburary 15 of 2007 at approx 8:30 pm I beat the final bosses with One life and didn't die! I was so proud that I treated myself to some high gravity beer.
Ninja Gaiden II : Dark Sword of Chaos.
I first played this when my friend steve lived at our house due to family problems he had at home. I loved the game I thought it was the most fast, fun, furious game for the NES and to this day it holds the title of "Favorite Ninja Gaiden" out of the trilogy. However the memory is short lived when I bought the game the following friday after beating the first one and completing it within 2 and a half hours the first night of owning it.
I still love the game but there wasn't much of a challenge compared to the first one here.
Ninja Gaiden III :Ancient Ship of Doom
this game was $5 more then the other two titles in the series ($10) and what a better time to lose your job due to people who don't like you do everything to get you fired.....I had no money to get the game and was heart broken but my brother made a deal with me he stated "If you play a game of Magic the Gathering" (I hate that stupid game) However I obliged and got the extra $5, next day I RAN (for a 300 pound guy, it was probably funny to see) to Funcoland and they still had the copy that has been there for 3 weeks.
When I got it I tried to run back home so I could play the game I never played.
I wasn't disappointed NG III exceeded my expectations. I loved the music and sound effects and the "HA!" Ryu made when slashing his sword. Then after all that running I was tired and decided to nap. So I paused the game and passed out for a couple hours and played it until I got to level 5....that level was so damn Hard!!!!!I wanted to cry from fustration... I kept playing for the game every friday for a year and nothing pisses me off more then those Stupid Spike walls on Stage 7-3 OMG I could go on about that but I won't. So in about a year I finally completed the game with a sense of glory and was able to tell people "I completed the Ninja Gaiden trilogy".
Thanks for reading my story, hope it was fun read. Sorry for my crummy logic too. I have my own style of typing and its pretty bad. Hope you enjoyed it. Take care!
