What features of certain consoles have you encountered of which make you feel like "Wow! I've never encountered THIS on a console before! " ?

Here are some examples (of which are unique features of consoles I have encountered) :

The Playstation 2 3D memory card icons
The Xbox "rip CDs to console's hard drive" function
The Xbox 360 Gamerscore system
The Wii channel system

      You can!
You can even listen to the tunes while playing selected games!
Games that support "copied music" include:

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater/Underground (not sure about American Wasteland or Project 8)
      Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2
Project Gotham Racing (1 and 2)
      Steel Battallion: Line of contact
Tetris Worlds (online edition, not sure about offline edition)

There is also a piece of Xbox software around called "Xbox Music Mixer" , of which lets you mix up your copied music

Nintendo's NES... wow, 2 buttons PLUS a start & select?

3DO... wow, no reset button on the system? Bummer!

SEGA's Genesis... wow, an SMS converter for backward compatibility? Sweet

          Nintendo's SNES... wow, 6 buttons? Man, that's a lot.

Dreamcast... cool, a little Tamagachi VMU in the middle of the controller.

The Sega Master System had a pause button on the console itself!

I had forgotten about that, and I owned a Dreamcast! I always loved Sega's systems.

Finding the extra ports to systems(Nintendo) and Not knowing what they were for?

/I found out that they were for adding extra componants like the Famicon Key board and yet it was discontinued.

                  //That made alot of sense?

PS2 plays DVDs as well. Although the Xbox can do this, you need an add on.

Gamecube's Wavebird, definitively. Won't play without it.

Haven't yet found a use for the handle on the back of the console yet.
These aren't my rules. Come to think of it, I don't have any rules.
