Have any of you guys come across a game you don't like, of which is part of a game series you DO like?
I like Bomberman (cute and fun little game) , but the dark and serious Xbox 360 game "Bomberman: act zero" is awful. It is not only "yet another violent game on Xbox 360" , but it ruins Bomberman so badly, that "Dora the explorer: Journey to the purple planet" on the Gamecube (worst Gamecube game ever) looks like a gaming masterpiece! At least things are all better again when you play one of the many good Bomberman games again.
What are your stories?

When Devil May Cry 2 came out, I was so hyped up about it that I preordered it...but when I finally got to play it, it was S**t only cuz the original team decided to let another team develop the game and thats usually a bad move. Thank god they got back together and created DMC3 which got Dante back on his feet!!!
Twited Metal. Twisted metal 1 and 2 were great, then a new developer came in with 3 and 4. 3 was all right, but 4 was awful.
Suikoden 4 was considered to be the worst of the series to most people, although I didn't think it was too bad. What I didn't like was that it took forever to sail your ship to the islands. During this time, the battles with the enemy were like every 5-10 seconds.
i used to play the mortal kombat games they were decent than we got up to mortal kombat special forces and it sucked eggs
i like the pokemon games, but pretty much any of the non-basic Pokemon games (Mystery Dungeon, Pinball) are awful.

Resident Evil 1 thru 4 were awesome, the others were crap (Gun survivor, etc.)
The Spryo the Dragon games on the PSX were quite entertaining and plesant. But after the games came on the PS2 (as well as GC and Xbox) it went downhill from there.. expect for A Hero's Tail which I thought was ok, but still pales in comparsion from the first two.

Remember the educational Mario games that came out in the mid-90's? Mario is Missing I think was one. Anyway, those games were boring and no fun. I don't think those games were even licensed by nintendo.

"Quest for Glory III: Wages of War" is undoubtedly the weakest game in the series (along with the fifth and last game). The graphics are excellent (for the time) and the story is alright but compared to it's preceedors and first sequel it just falls flat.

Mortal Kombat: Deception. God, I can't believe I payed $50 for that steaming pile of crap. They have a brand new cast of shitty characters that all suck, and the few originals returniing are lame as hell.
And the Fatalities...words cannot describe how god awful they are. There are about 2 good fatalities, but the rest suck. They're lame, they're lazy, the blood and guts look look oranges and tomatoes...
Complete embarrassment to the MK franchise.

I agree totally, mega hyped about the next two. i read last year that dmc 4 and 5 were both dead certs, although can't remeber where i read it, so may be complete BS The pokemon card game on the game boy was poor too
I'm a big fan of the Twisted Metal series, but I can't stand 3, 4 and Small Brawl. 1, 2, Black and Head-On are all great though.

I hated the Mario Education games they sucked ass I did not really like Splatterhouse 2 that much SP1 and 3 Where fantastic I also did not like Street Fighter 1 it was good but the others are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY BETTER.
.. I agree that was one of the things I loved about Bomberman He is so adorable but now WTF just some ugly retarded Master Chief Rip-Off.
