(I stole this from another forum)

Well the Super Smash Bros. Brawl Site updates daily...
and the newest news is that they decided to use all 4 forms of controls for the game instead of normal button layout/presses
Dojo

the 4 forms of controls are

Wii-Mote & Nunchuck
Wii-Mote (turned on its side)
Classic Controller
Oldschool Gamecube Controller

How will the Wii-mote alone work? we'll just have to wait and see...

Which will you most likely choose to fight with?

Wiimote control scheme (turned on side):

    Up: Jump
    Down: Duck/fall through platforms
Left: Walk left (press twice to run)
Right: Walk right (press twice to run)
1: Use characters' own attack/use item
    2: Use melee attack
    A: Use characters' "special attack"
    B: Grab/throw/use shield
    +: Pause game
    -: Pause game

    Wiimote/nunchuck control scheme:

Nunchuck stick: Move/jump/duck/fall through platforms (move stick slowly left/right to walk; move stick quickly left/right to run)
    C: Jump
    Z: Grab/throw/use shield
    D-pad left/right: Use melee attack
    D-pad up/down: Use characters' own attack/use item
    A: Use characters' "special attack"
    B: Grab/throw/use shield
    +: Pause game
    -: Pause game

The Gamecube control scheme would be pretty much identical to SSBM's, but for the "special attacks", either the Y or X buttons would be used. I doubt the Classic Controller would be playable with SSBB because Nintendo intended it to be used for VC games. All in all, I prefer the Wiimote and GC control schemes because they're the easiest to use.

I'm so used to the GC scheme so I'll stick with that.

I personally would like it to be on the classic controller.

You can use it with the classic controller. Any controller that can be used on the Wii, can be used with Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I'm probably going to try all 4 ways and see which one I like best.

Is that one of the reasons why release date was pushed back further, because if I remembered right the game was suppose to be one of the launch titles.

Oh and I would probably like it better with the classic controller or the wii-mote, although the wii-mote/nunchaku sounds like fun.

Like with Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, I think I'll stick with the classic controller. The wii-mote and nunchuck are just not responsive enough for fighting games, especially ones that are as fast paced as the Smash Bros. games.

I would use the Gamecube method Its the only one that could work for me.
