I'm not gonna list 'em all, way too many!! i'd say super sonic etc are different characters to sonic. My fave would probably be knuckles, but only after a vicous fight with shorty!

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a topic pertaining to this, but, I haven't the time to check myself. To stay on topic, though, my favorite characters of the Sonic universe, are: Tails; Knuckles; Rouge.
For me, it's a tie between Tails and Knuckles. I have no idea who Shortfuse and Mettalix are, but I'm assuming they're from the Sonic Adventure series. :p
Sonic, hands down. He's the only character in the series that isn't completely annoying.

Shortfuse was in one of the cartoon series, he was an uber badnik who was good. mettalix is also known as metal sonic.

Yeah, although as a game in it's own right, ignoring the sonic affiliation, shadow the hedgehog is not that bad a game. we're talking as characters though, rather than games, and shadow is damn cool.

i used to like sonic back in the 2d days. in sonic adventure he had this dorky surfer dude accent and had a rather dumb personality, so i choose tails since he's a good pilot
