My vote has to go to Heroes of the Lance. I saw so many people give it a 1/10 on GameFAQs, so I tried to play the game myself, and boy they were right. All you do is fall to your death on a HUGE, HUGE pit.
i think it comes down between widget the world watcher (aka megaman ripoff) and top gun

Back To The Future sucked bad as it had very little to do with the movie. I never played it on the NES myself but though a rom and emulator recently after finding a NES game was made on it. And loving the movie to bits, I got curious... And damn its almost as bad as Ghostbusters (that angry nintendo/video game nerd dude doesnt lie!!)

well, when it comes right down to it, any of the sports games i used to have. you really had to jam on the controller just to get your character to do something, like water stroking. i thought my thumbs were gonna fall off from pain or something
I thought star wars for the snes was the worst the jumping in that game really ticket me off
The worst game I have ever played was Total Recall. What the Hell was that mess, not a thing based on the movie. I don't remember a wall with fists punching at random in the movie. How about the movie theatre in screenshot 2 (just to watch the credits and get a measley life to continue playing this crap.) I love the movie, and Interplay butchered the game.

I've tried to avoid playing absolute crap when it came to the NES. I've rented some major duds, I've bought a few minor duds...
...but there were a number of games I stayed away from just because I knew it was bad. I think it was partial thanks to game magazines EGM, Gamepro, & Video Games/Computer Entertainment magazine based their reviews and it's how I based my opinion. In '87 & '88, all I had to really rely on was "Nintendo Fun Club" news... and most games you could count on first party Nintendo to be good.
...back in those days, however... you had to buy the game, play it, and if you didn't like it... could return it to the store (before they had game rentals). They kinda got suspicious after returning 4 games in 2 days.

Heroes of the Lance for me... absolute crap... :(
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, a Garfield game, Where's Mario?, etc. I could go on about the crappy NES games I have played.
