Does anyone else here play video games with their significant other?
I do. Me and my lady play Mario Kart and Soul Calibur all night long (well maybe not all night. There are other "things" to do :cool: ).
I'm asking because I remember in high school that if you wanted to look cool and impress a girl you better not tell her you play video games. Or, alternatively, video games were really only something for those without a lady friend.
So, do you play games with your loved ones, and if so, is it nice?

Nope.
My girlfriend hates all video games except Tetris.
I don't know what it is, but she just can't stand them.
It's okay, though. I make sure to piss & moan a lot whenever she watches Desperate housewives & Grey's Anatomy.

I'm slowly turing the gf into a gming tokuatsu fangirl. Even bought her a gamecube and some Garo DVDs.
I'm a girl, and I play video games with my fiance all the time. I play Gundam Vs. Zeta Gundam, Hajime no Ippo: All-Stars, Guitar Hero, and all kinds of other games with him. We've had a whole hell of a lot of fun playing games together.

I'm a girl, and I play video games with my fiance all the time. I play Gundam Vs. Zeta Gundam, Hajime no Ippo: All-Stars, Guitar Hero, and all kinds of other games with him. We've had a whole hell of a lot of fun playing games together.
I play Gitaroo-Man and a few other similar games with my girl friend. She is Japanese and we play both Japanese and European versions of music games so that we know the songs :D Good times.

We play mario 3 and donkey kong country together. All the other games, she just watches me play. For some reason on donkey kong, she likes to repeat the first mine cart stage over and over, it gets aggrivating, but I guess she's out for extra lives.

mariokart and ssbm are the two most played games that my gf and i enjoy. we play a little of donkey kong country and super mario world
Well, if I ever get a boyfriend, I'd make sure he'd enjoy playing games like Mortal Kombat, Guitar Hero, Halo, or any other game like that. Bonus if it's two player. Anything else he can hate, he just need to love Video Games :D

Besides, I don't know where you got the impression that I'd only go out with someone like the Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons. I just said whoever my boyfriend is, he needs to enjoy Video Games. Why not go out with someone who has at least one mutual intrest?

My ex was like that. When he wasn't working at his tech support job, he was playing online PC games like Unreal Tournament 2004, Battlefield something-or-other, and some other crap I can't remember. He often would pack up his computer shit on the weekends and drive 40 miles just to do the same thing, only in a room with 10 other people. What's the damn point of that? Pissed me off. Which is one of many reasons I left.
So if you find a guy that's heavy into gaming, at least make sure he has SOME other priorities as well. Like health and personal hygiene. :P
