Hopefully, there isn't already a topic on this. I looked and didn't see one. Anyway...back in January, I made a thread on a new Ghostbusters game that was supposedly coming out to the Xbox 360. It turned out it was fake, and the chance of a new Ghostbusters game seemed non-existent. Well, now a "Real" Ghostbusters game has been confirmed for Xbox 360 and PS3! On top of that, Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis are both strongly attached to the project! They will also be playing the voices of Ray and Egon, and Bill Murray will be voicing Peter, and Ernie Hudson will be voicing Winston. Other members of the original cast will also be involved as well.

I just hope the game is going to play as good as it looks! Dan Akroyd said in an interview that this game is the closest thing to a "Ghostbusters 3" that we're ever going to get. I also have my fingers crossed that this game will show Sony Pictures the popularity of Ghostbusters and convince them to start releasing "The Real Ghostbusters" DVD box sets.

Wii and PS2 are also getting a version but it's going to have more cartoony graphics and will be more multiplayer focused. The real experience will be on 360 and PS3.
Why not on the wii, it's the perfect system for it
if they can use resident evil graphics that's all they
need. I have seen games toned down to fit other systems
and this one would be a must. Not a cartoony verison of
luigi's mansion but the "real ghostbusters". I was getting excited about using a ghost blaster (excuse me, I have'nt seen the movie in a while and I can't remember the name) or
proton pack I think, anyways that would have been just as
awesome as a light saber. However the real verison on
xbox and playstation looks like it is going to be a blast
I do not plan on getting an xbox or playstation soon
I plan to get a wii first but that won't stop from renting the game and playing on a friends system or renting a system from family video just to play the game. I am glad they finally came up with the idea. I myself had pondered
it in my mind and thought about how awesome it would be
before I even heard of the games release. I did not really
act on that thought but I just let it past. But looks like
I was'nt the only one thinking the same thing and I am glad they did. Hope everybody enjoys it. Peace out

it would've been neat to use the wiimote as the ghosttrap, but my dream is crushed. ah well i look forward to the ps2 version, i just hope it doesn't suck
I'm very curious to see what it'll be like on the Wii. I could just picture using the Wiimote as a wand to catch ghosts with! :)

The Wii is a good console but when developers have machines as powerful and Xbox360 and PS3 at their fingertips it's got be used. The Wii version will be cool for younger kids and I may even check it out myself at some point just to see what they do with remote and nunchuck and see the direction they took the "cartoony" graphics in. I'm getting it for 360 or PS3 first though, those are the systems the game is obviously meant to be played on.
I guess one bit of good news for Wii only owners would be that the story remains the same, the only thing that's really different for that version is the graphics.

The thing that's sad about the Wii version, is that it will basically be a port of the PS2 version with Wii remote enhanced control. Even though the Wii is not as powerful as the 360 and PS3, it is capable of much better graphics then the PS2 (Mario Galaxy is a good example of that). But since the Wii version will be the same version the PS2 is getting, it will not take advantage of the Wii's extra graphics capabilities, when it very well could.

I hope it's good. The only good ghost buster game i've played was the one on genesis. The others really sucked big time.

Well games are a matter of personal taste. I loved it and it's one of my favorite genesis games. I think it was a pretty popular games. How far did you get in the game. Comoare it to the other ghost buster games and it's master piece.

I'm a major Ghostbusters fan and i can't wait for this game! One of my anticipated games of the year.
You better not be kidding. A Ghostbusters game would be more badass than crossing the streams.

Hell yeh, this will be the Ghostbusters 3 we fans have been waiting for since it's suppose to take place after part 2.
