Was anyone else dissapointed by the fact that for the first time in the Oddworld series, Abe didn't feature in the game? I know I was.
Now that I think about it "Oddworld: Stranger's wrath" is kind of like Oddworld's answer to "Metal gear solid 2: Sons of liberty", in terms of pissing off fans.

Yaeh, but at least when "Oddworld: Munch's oddysee" was made they added a new character (Munch) and kept Abe in too.
Oddworld just didn't feel like Oddworld without the familliar faces.

well, i can understand that, but still they were trying something different, nothing wrong with that its not like it was a bad game

It wasn't a bad game or anything but it was still like a giant middle finger to die-hard fans off the series.

mgs2 pissed off fans? i find that hard to believe. but i bought stranger's wrath at a video game store about a year ago. it was alright, didn't have much depth in gameplay, but was hard as hell. i thought i was gonna give up before i got to the end. but i found to it that it had no replay value

I pretty much lost faith because can ANYONE seriously tell me they understood the story? After the fifth "Hey you think you know what's going on, HEY! No you don't, THIS is what is going on! Oh wait! Maybe THIS is going on!"
By the end of it I was ready to bash my head against the wall at the sheer absurity of the story. I gave up trying to care or understand any of it and just beat the game to beat it.
Haven't touched a MGS game since.

I haven't really lost faith in MGS, but ya the story does sometimes get confusing...using crazy sometimes-big-words in the process so you have to really look into it, I kinda found it confusing at first when i heard that Ocelot was somewhat of a triple agent (or was it quadruple?) I still look forward to 4
I thought raiden was pretty good, he was like a newcomer and rookie , snake had to school and show the ropes.

I think strangers was entertaining but it didn`t have that Oddworld feel or emotion, so overall Strangers wrath is very disapointing!

The story was stupid as hell,but the game play was still spot on. It was a good game. It sld around like 2 million so it must have not pissed off all the fans. It did make some people angry with the stupid story and being forced to play with raiden so much. I think part 3 dosen't have those issues though.
