Smash fans are going to have to wait at least another month to get their hands on the latest installment. Nintendo of America announced that the game, already delayed once, is getting pushed back from its Feb. 10 release date to March 9. “The development is taking slightly longer than expected,” the company said in a news release. “As we're sure you have seen on the Dojo site (www.SmashBros.com), the game contains an unprecedented number of characters, options and experiences. Be sure to keep an eye on the Dojo site for the latest information.”
While Nintendo fans get a lot of mileage out of Miyamoto’s famous, “A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever,” quote, the delay is certainly a bummer for fans who have been waiting patiently for the game. Let’s hope it gets all the time it needs.

Cmon, if they keep doing this more people are going to be angry. And more updates are going to spoil the game.

A delay of a video game is always a good thing you know. They don't delay a game to say "Let's delay this game to make the fans and people waiting for this game mad so they riot on us." They say "Let's delay this game to refine it." That is just what they plan to do. Remeber Super Mario Galaxy? They promised it would be a launch title and it didn't come out until exactly 1 year after the USA release of the Wii. The Wii came out on November 19, 2006 and Super Mario Galaxy came out on November 19, 2007. And it was well worth the wait. The same thing happened with The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It was going to be a GameCube game but they kept delaying it until it became a Wii game. And that wait was worth it. They also said Metroid Prime 3:Corruption was going to be a launch title but it was delayed until August 2007. That wait was also worth it. So, as you can well expect, this will be worth the wait.

Is Wart from Mario 2 in it? I mean, c'mon!

I'm fucking sick of people always sticking up for delays for games. They made the announcement like it was a fact at E3. I didn't even know they delayed it again until I saw it on the side of the site this morning, they didn't even make a freaking announcement for it on there. And when will Japan be getting theirs? January 31st... what the fuck? Not only is that barely after their original release date (just by a few days methinks), but they're getting it before our first delayed release date! What the hell Nintendo. I'm getting sick of this damn wait, I was originally gonna get the game for my birthday y'know. It's hard to believe we were supposed to get this first, did the Japanese whine enough to get an earlier release date or something? No fucking excuse. I'm getting sick of this BS. I've been waiting for this game forever now, they'd better be putting in a shitload more material than they originally were. And the American version better be getting some major advantage over the Japanese version to be delayed so much longer. I swear, unless they're spending this time to add Bomberman in this game, or changing "Pokémon Trainer" to plain old Ash, there's no reason I see in taking so long. Get your god damn act together Nintendo.

I wish that we'd be able to use this new release as an opprotunity to re-release the original SSB on the Wii in some form. I miss that game. :cry:

That got cancelled? I didn't know that. I heard it was just all the original Megaman games released on Game Boy though.

It NEVER came out at all! I waited anxiously to play more of the Classic Mega Man series games, and now, It's not going to happen! :evil:
