We all know that 4kids dubbs animes and ruins em. But why do they have to dubb the ones basted on video games? I mean its bad enough they dubbed Sonic X and make into another basterdized verson of its original format. By changing the dialog, replacing the original background music and sound effects with there shitty recylced sound effects and music,( they even killed the live and learn song,) and were to cheap to hire Ryan Drummond as the voice of Sonic because he didnt live in new york.

Another very bad dubb was the F-zero GP Legend dubb. Now I was actually siked about it at first when I heard about it being a huge F-zero fan. But when I actually saw it I was horrified. The background music and sound effects were terrible, the dialog stunk, and there was no mute city theme song. I MEAN WHY THE HELL WAS THERE NO MUTE CITY THEME SONG!?!?!? YOUR SUPPOSE TO HAVE THE MUTE CITY THEME SONG!!!! ITS A TRADE MARK OF F-ZERO!!!! I MEAN WERENT THEY EVEN THINKING OF THE FANS OF THE F-ZERO GAMES WHEN THEY DUBBED THIS ANIME ADAPTION!?!!? Of course they werent because there ruin any animes original format for whatever reason.

Oh and havent seen the original Kirby anime but I bet its a hell of alot better then the 4kids dubb.

At least the actors from ultraman Tiga sued 4 Kids for what they did to that show. And because of that, we got an officaly released, uncut, In Japanese with Subtitles DVD. SO awsome.

You guys might be interested in the French (European) dub of Sonic X: It mimics the Japanese original BRILLIANTLY. Seemingly all the content from the Japanese original is still there (just translated into French) . I know because I have the first 4 volumes of the French Sonic X dub's DVD series.

4Kids takes way more crap than they deserve. I could never think anything bad of the people who dubbed the original retro Pokémon animé.

That's true. 4Kids' Ash, Misty, Brock & Team Rocket were the ones I really liked myself. If people didn't like those voices there wouldn't have been such an riot over the voice change, but that was mostly from fans. I'm not sure about the other dubs.

Even if they did keep dubbing anime, why would it matter? You know WHY the company is called 4Kids? Because the stuff they do is... you guessed it... for kids! Sure, there's plenty of inaccuracies going on, like in the Kirby anime, but it's not like most kids will notice unless they happened to see the original versions.

They don't know that that pseudo-3D Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich is supposed to be an onigiri. They don't know that there's supposed to be kanji in place of blank signs, they don't know that that Hammer Thingamajig is actually supposed to be a pistol, and they don't know that those glowing weapons are not supposed to be glowing! Only the anime enthusiasts and weeaboos take notice, and they whine and whine for about ten or so pages until they've finally calmed down and had some sushi with sake. Entertaining for everybody else to watch, though.

Besides, it's not like 4Kids was the only anime company to make mistakes. Remember when DiC dubbed Sailor Moon with it's ugly out-of-place 3D scene change scenes, and so much more? Remember when Dragon Ball Z was first dubbed and they edited and cigarettes and even some of Gohan's tears? When we didn't have Internet, nobody knew about the original versions and how they were. I rest my case.

Although it would've been funny to see if 4Kids ACTUALLY dubbed Naruto. Oh my Gods, that would've been some funny shit. I could sooo imagine how the Narutards would act.

I actually liked the voice actors of "Sonic X" more than I did most of the original game voice actors; Jason Griffith did a good job playing the voice of Sonic and Lisa Ortiz did a good job playing the voice of Amy. And also, I liked Tails' voice-acting on the show more than I did in the game "Sonic Heroes, thank you very much. 8)

I liked Tails more when he didn't sound like Ash Ketchum.

I liked his Adventure voice the best, and it was hard to adjust to the 4Kids one, but I'm used to it now.

I personally never cared about the Kirby anime anyway. But I hated how they dubbed the F-zero anime. As an F-zero fan (and not an anime fan Xe-A-Thoul) I hated how it turned out. You could tell right away there was a bunch of recycled sound effects from the last 10000000 animes they dubbed. The dialog wasent as bad as one piece ill admit. (Since they werent throwing corny jokes in left to right) But I still cant beleave they removed the theme songs from the video games. Of course thats the only complants I had are the background music and the sound effects, and no Xe-A-Thoul it would be funny if they dubbed a legend of zelda anime. But you seem to get a huge kick out of it being an anime hater yourself. If thats the case thats fine by me but im speaking on the behalf of a video game fan, and not an anime fan, and I say on the behalf of being a fan of video games in this post and not on behalf on being an anime retard, that 4kids ruins animes based on video games by replacing the sound effects and the background music. I dont give a damn if they chose to chage rice balls to cookies or wine to grape juice as long as it stays true to the game it trys to be based on. which is somthing 4kids is clearly not known to do which is why they cant be allowed to get there hands on any other video game based animated feature (being japanese or any other nation) thats what I was trying to say.

OK, I suppose you make a pursuasive arguement. I never really cared for F-Zero, although I suppose they did screw up the Kirby anime by removing the game-based music and replacing it with their typical overly-dramatic monotonous BGM, changing Lololo & Lalala's names to Fololo & Falala, pronouncing DeDeDe's name as "Dee Dee Dee", and all that garbage. Good thing the series is currently being subbed so that we can forget all about it.

Despite what I've said, I am not an anime hater. I like anime, but only in moderation, which is how it should be so it doesn't take over your life and that you'll start thinking you're Japanese yourself (unless you are already.) I just find it funny when anime enthusiasts whine about stuff like this, that's all.

Though I don't think you have to worry anymore because, like I said, 4Kids no longer dubs anime. I doubt they're going to dub any more after the mistakes they've made in the past. Right now, you should just hope they don't bring anymore cartoons from other countries like Cra(m)p Twins and Winx Club.

Yeah, because it's not beautiful unless you watch it in its natural language. Anime in Japanese is an art, not fake like it is when it's dubbed into English. Only real winners watch it in Japanese, the rest don't understand the complexity behind it. Every dub ever made sucks and doesn't compare to the original Japanese version.[/sarcasm]
