I have it on MAME. It is quite fun to play. I like the little two-player competitive rounds that occur occasionally. :)

arcades only way to go. The older versions like NES have slow down when a lot of enimes are on screen, adn lack the cool specials like fireballs. The PSone and new versions are not originals since somone at Taito lost the original source code, so they played through the game and sort of reversed enginered it, so its not the same either.

You're only saying that because you own an actual arcade machine (or was that someone else?)...

I like this game, but Bust-a-Move is better. I have Bubble Bobble 2 on GB which is pretty uncommon. Bubble Bobble 2 for NES is supposedly worth like $60

yeah that game was awesome...i always find it amusing that the name of the apple-cheeked, cloaked enemy that threw bottles at you (the smaller version of the final boss, Grumple Gromit) is Borracho, which is Spanish for "drunkard"

so why the frowns on emulation? I bought the dvd of mutant the other day... worst translation ever so I am going to get the vhs and make my own..if they don't do it right why not emulate? I like playing m.u.g.e.n. since capcom doesn't make the vs games anymore I have to assemble Marvel vs dc myself...
I loved bubble bobble I do play it lots and it's on emu and I had it on nes it's too flickery... don't worry about if I own an arcade or a production studio to author my own dvd of mutant cause they were to lazy and cheap to do it right.. if I'm wrong by all means let me know from the peanut gallery...
