Arcade version. Second place would be the first one on Genesis.

I've always liked the X-Men games on Genesis. The arcade game was also good.

My vote goes to the X-men arcade version, i remember i used to play that all the time. I think what makes the arcade version so cool is it could have up to six players and that was incredible for the early 90s.

Arcade, then Legends, then Marvel Vs Capcom.

I remember sometime in the 80's I played some x-men game on the NES. It was like 3 quarter view sorta like zelda. And you could be the dude who could walk through walls to skip a lot of parts of the levels. Anybody know which one this is?

Even I can't figure it out without looking up Wikipedia.

LJN was founded in 1970 by Jack Friedman (who later founded the toy companies T*HQ and Jakks Pacific). The name LJN was inspired by the initials of Lewis J Norman which is the reverse of Norman J. Lewis Associates, a toy company where Friedman was employed in the 1960s before leaving to form LJN.

                                    Seems to make sense.

No no, Rare made Nightmare on Elm Street and Roger Rabbit. LJN only published 'em.
