You guys ever play that rerelease on the GBA?
No, and from what I hear, I probably won't want to. It's an insult to pretty much Sonic's greatest game yet, and an insult to Sonic himself. Such a shame, it is.
No. I taken warning from Mr. Spax3, also the pedophile guy who likes Cosmo from Sonic X. Creepy.
He's also butthurted about his Encyclopedia Dramatica article, though he did deserved it. I mean look at him groping the Cosmo plush on that article. Yikes indeed.

I have it, and it's not worth it unless you've played [and beaten] the original game countless times in your life. If you want a perfect port of the original, stick with "Sonic Mega Collection" on the Nintendo Gamecube. :/
I tried it at a random video game store. It was so bad. Same with the ecco the dolphin "port". I didn't even bother buying it.

I prefer "Sega Smash Pack" on the GBA over this title, because the games on it are perfect ports (except "Sonic Spinball", that is).

Just "Sonic Spinball"; the others were enjoyable.

I played it. It was pretty bad, especially when you fight Dr. Eggman who's really easier to beat than in the actual Genesis version. If only this game used the style to Sonic Advance, then maybe it will be good.

agreed, but sega genesis is kinda hard to port to gba. They even had trouble porting snes games to it.

they can't get the music ported 100%. Often they change instruments. Because the gba sound chip for some reason can't do everything that the snes one could. And some graphical things that ran smoothly on the snes cause lag on the gba. For example the big beaming lights on the final kefka tower in ff6. Have you played a game through on both snes and gba and actually paid any attention? I think mario world 2 is the worst for music being changed in the gba counterpart. I couldn't even stand how much they had to hack up the music in that port. Did you ever sit down and wonder why they also remade mario world 2 for DS even though a DS could play the gba version? Because it's hard porting a game directly from snes to gba. The best ports I've seen were early snes games like the first mario world and zelda 3.
Yoshi's Island DS wasn't supposed to be Yoshi's Island on the DS, it was a whole new game.

I also hear Contra III: The Alien Wars was badly ported to the GBA, too. They removed Smart Bombs and the Mode-7 stages and replaced them with two levels from Contra: Hard Corps. From what I hear, you can kinda tell the difference between the stages.

Because it's another Yoshi's Island game, and it's on the DS.
