Contra for the NES was awesome, however, when I found out about the 30 lives Konami code from the resident gamer guru during 2nd grade recess I could not wait to go home to try it. The code became the norm after that; till this day I use the Konami code to play that game. The only other cheat I remember was from Bad Dudes when you press start to pause the game and hold the punch button, after you un-pause the game and let go of the punch button you automatically do the super-punch. Does anyone remember any other codes or cheats for the NES? Please post, thanks!

            I remember the konmai code,but never used it. I hate codes and would rather enjoy beating the game. I only use codes and cheat after beating a game.

                  Using cheat codes seems to defeat the point to me. The same thing with codes that let you skip levels or game faqs. It's like paying to see a movie and reading the screen play before seeing it the first time. I only use those things as a ;last resort.
