in my opinion halo is a boring game. its just another first person shooter game. i want to know if anyone agrees with me, and if you don't agree explain why you think it is a good game

I've never played it but I guess it's like most FPSs: better when playing with friends.
There is a unique quality when a good FPS comes out on a console, you can get people together to play against each other without hooking up through a LAN.
It happened with GoldenEye for the N64 and then with Halo for the XBox. You might find other FPS games more fun, but they didn't give the same accessibility for group gaming.
I loved Halo, and the sequels that followed, because I could play with friends, and even better we could all play in the same room. The gameplay in multiplayer was quick-paced and it gave plenty of variety with different maps and game types.

Yeah, usually I hate FPS games but whenever my friends brought over Golden Eye or Perfect Dark for the N64 we'd end up playing all night. I guess it's the same deal with Halo on XBox.

playing a fps shooter thru campaign/story mode is cool 'till you beat it, but going multiplayer is pretty much the fun point if its got a good online/multiplayer mode...but for me it eventually gets boring for only so long...
I agree, I only played the first Halo and got so bored of the single player game. I never played multiplayer but muliplayer is probably why others love it.

I'm not that into first-person shooters, and Halo just feels so bland.

I agree 100%. I saw it and said "wowxorz it's another quake or doom". In other words....it's all been f#cking done before. Gears of war however has some amazing graphics so I appreciate that game.
