I still have the original systems. I don't like the compatability issues with clone systems; most notably how none of them will run Castlevania 3.

I believe the retro-duo does run Castlevania 3 and super mario RPG (on snes side) ... its the best of the clones out there. I had gotten the model prior to the retro-duo (I think it was called the twin-duo) but that didn't play castlevania 3 or SMRPG.... and on the nes side the contacts broke off after about 4 weeks.... THE SNES SIDE STILL WORKS LIKE A CHARM THOUGH. I have been planing to pick one of these up and think I will soon.

wowxorz the red yellow white cables?!??$?!@$@!

my super famicoms and snes run over s-video and rgb

and my av famicom runs over composite (red yellow white for all you special people out there)

I bought some clones before. no compatibility problems. I just couldn't stand that they sounded a bit different from the original system

ouch. that game doesn't even use any special chips. To me clones are good to collect just for the flattery aspect. But I've never seen a clone that didn't have any issues playing something right.

                I don't like clone systems
They ruin the authenticity of the originals
I still kick myself for buying that awful Cyber World Famiclone when I was a teenager...

Clones are pieces of junk. Authentic all the way. Full compatibility and look always. And they only go up in value, not down! And they're much easier to fix.

I would go with even saying that the Genesis 3 was sort of a clone.

I agree the Genesis 3 is like a clone.

                        I want one of these...

I may get one when I get my tax return...This is literally the system I wish I had when I was a kid. Mostly because everyone was split into three camps: Sega is better than SNES, SNES is better than Sega, I got my NES from my older brother. It's only $47.99 on StoneAgeGamer.com and the best part is I could play Star Fox, Kirby's Adventure, and Sonic The Hedgehog 2 all on the same console.

yeah, like never working. Bring back those good times! I think that 3 in 1 clone is pretty badass considered it has 3 of the greatest consoles of all time.

I was told that the Retro Duo doesn't use accessories such as Nintendo Zapper... Is that true? :?

Yeah, because there are no NES ports, just SNES. I heard they were gonna make a converter, though.
