When MTV was still doing new episodes of Beavis and Butthead, there was a disclaimer that came up before the show that went something like this:
"Beavis and Butthead are not role models. They're not even human, they're cartoons! Some of the things they do will cause a person to get hurt, expelled, arrested...possibly deported. To put it in another way, don't try this at home."
I'm hoping to see a video clip of it because MTV2 reruns the episodes without the disclaimer.

haha yeah :) I also remember in the very early Beavis and Butthead episodes they had a different disclaimer. All I remember is this stern voice going: "Beavis and Butt-head are not real. They are stupid..." that's all I remember :( If anyone remembers this and/or knows where I can hear it, I'll love you forever!

Remember parents! TV/Video Games/Toys are not substitutes for love/ education nor excuses to blame for your own failures as a parent and they way you neglect them. This has been a public service annoucement brought to you by Retrojunk! :wink:

I remember that first disclaimer fondly!
"Beavis & Butt-head are not real! They're stupid cartoon people completely made up by this Texas guy who we hardly even know. Beavis & Butt-Head are dumb, crude, ugly, thoughtless, sexists, self-distructive fools. But for some reason the little wienerheads make us laugh!"
This disclaimer was only used for the second season I believe.

This also doubles as my very first post here, so hello all!!
Anywhoo, I believe I have that disclaimer somewhere around here. I taped B&B religiously back in the day on MTV, and I'm pretty sure I have that intro. I can get it to my PC with my capture card, but I have know idea yet how to upload it to this site....... still a newbie myself ya know.... :)
I'll try to find the clip, if someone can help me with the upload. I would love to share it with you all!

ok, i found the disclaimer intro, and I uploaded it to the site. now it needs to be approved by the site mods, so hopefully it will be on the site soon.

And yes, the word completely was mispelled as 'completly'. In the third and following seasons the disclaimer changed to "Beavis and Butt-Head are not role models. They're not even human. They're cartoons. Some of the things they do would cause a person to get hurt, expelled, arrested, possibly deported. To put it another way: Don't try this at home".
Muchmusic never had htat disclaimer. they just had one that said:
"Warning, Warning. Extreme bad taste alert People! this show is not suitable for some viewers, so viewer discretion is advised, okay?"

Lol, the first one was better. I liked how they referred to Mike Judge as "Some Texas guy who we hardly even know".
