Hi! I watched a show called "Romper Room and Friends" as a child. There was creative movement activity / song called "Flopsy" and or "Flopsy Flop" that Miss Molly and the kids would perform on during the show sometimes. I wanted to know if anyone remember the lyrics to this song. I think it starts out like this.

Let's flopsy our fingers
Let's flopsy our hands
Let's flopsy our arms like rubberbands

From there I am a bit lost. If anyone could help me out that would be great. I am a dance teacher and I would like to use the song in my younger dance classes. Thank you so much.

The lyrics to Flopsy Flop are..
Let's flopsy our fingers, lets flopsy our hands, let's flopsy our arms like rubber bands.
let's flopsy our heads, let our legs flopsy too, like a flospy flop rag dolls, I'll flop down with you. Then we would all fall to the floor.
I'm honored that you enjoyed the show and remembered.

      Lots of Love, Miss Molly

Are the nationally syndicated (aired) Romper Room episodes lost forever? (80/90's era?) I know the local ones are, but that is of no consequence to me since I did not grow up in an area that had a local Romper Room. I also think it is sad that a quality program like this was taken off the air. Some of the things children are seeing today are horrendous, and very few encourage active participation. Plus, Romper Room "teacher" would be such a fun job! Heaven knows if it was available, I would audition, or go to a class, or whatever...

          Dear Miss Molly,
Thank you so so much for the lyrics of "Flopsy Flop". This is one of the many song/movement activities that I really remembered from the show.
I really enjoyed the song and movement activities from Romper Room/
Romper Room and Friends. I was so born to dance. Everyone knew that.
I was a bit late at speaking. When I learned to speak there was no stopping me. I am always chatting. At the engagement party I read each and ever card that we recieved aloud. I am getting married in eight weeks.
I believe that Romper Room/Romper Room and Friends was a excellent childrens educational tv show where I just learned so much. I wish that there were shows like this still on television. Maybe Someday.
I got to get going now. Very busy. Miss Molly, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

          Love, Peace, and Happiness,
          ~miss ballerina 07~

I have another question about "Flopsy". What was the objective of the song? Like, in "Bend and Stretch" the physical objective was stretching.

Thank you so much in advance.
