Anyone else like these characters and books created by Roger Hargreaves?

I hate to admit it, but I'm actually new to it and I'm 24. But I love it, I even got two figures of some of the characters for christmas, which was Little Miss. Sunshine and Mr. Bump, I'm loving them and want more. I'm reading these stories to my kids (when actually have them, lol).

I enjoy the books, cartoons, and these little figures.

Anyone else?

Can you believe that I only knew about the TV show before I joined Retro Junk? Then you guys introduced me to the books, which are even cooler than the TV show.

I have a few of these still from when I was young, they were some of the first books I read.

A few years back I went and bought the set or both Mr Men and Little Miss, because they are so awesome.

I also have a few figures and the Mr Men snakes and ladders game.

I think my favorite one was Little Miss Stubborn. She travels far and wide just for an omelet. She gets it but it was just weird. it was a HUGE omelet though.

I remember those. My favorite was Mr. Silly. I liked the part about the pig that wore sunglasses, smoked a cigar and said "moo". It actually started a phase in me during which I liked cigars - no I didn't smoke any and yes, I knew smoking was hazardous to your health. I would draw characters smoking cigars and pretend a pen was a cigar. The reason I liked the cigar was of how the artist drew it - the paper band on it was made to look like a yellow cross, and as I liked geometric shapes, I was drawn to it. At least that was in the book in my school library; my parents bought it for me and there the pig wore a bowler hat and wasn't had no cigar. Maybe that part was edited so as not to encourage kids to smoke?

Another book I had was Mr. Small. On the day it was bought, I managed to lose it at the supermarket or somewhere.

These are very cool books. When I was a kid we'd always rush down to the library to try and get the good ones. Mr. Messy was always my personal favourite.

I seen them in the book store earlier this fall when my girlfriend and I were looking around. She was also a fan, so needless to say the entire collection is now a part of our household!

I think there's a show on YTV here in Canada in the afternoons. Never really knew it was quite educational, I guess. It's pretty cute.

I have an old Mr. Clever book I got in the 80s. I have a few of the figures and cups from the fast food promotion. I forget where.

I remember the cartoon that was shown in the 90s. It had these bumper segment with people in bright overalls.

When I took French in high school the teacher gave us an assignment to translate the books from French to English. I read Mademoiselle Pourquoi. (Miss Why)That was our big assignment.I think it was like a 1/4 of our semester grade.
