It used to come on Nickelodeon in the mid-90's. I can't think of its name but I used to watch it all the time. One of the stories was about this old man who lived to be in his hundreds by eating turnips everyday and the king invited him to eat with him and the rich food killed him.

I know what you're talking about!! I LOVED that show; wasn't the host blondish, like a gameshow type guy?? I feel like I have seen him in gameshows since. I remember an episode where they showed us the catacombs ... anywho it was NOT the Dean Cain version ;)

Crap, I know what you're talking about. I thought it was earlier, though...maybe in the earlier part of the 90s because I remember being maybe 10 or 11 when I saw it. I think it was called Beyond Belief. I watched it all the time, but I don't think it had many episodes and was pretty short-lived.

Edit: It was Beyond Belief! I'm surprised I remember that. According to IMDB, it aired on Nickelodeon back in 1992.

There really isn't much info on the show itself, but I do remember watching this a lot. I remember it coming on early on Saturdays, though, for my area.

Beyond Belief : Fact Or Fiction was also the name of a show hosted by Jonathan Frakes ( Commander Riker ) in the late 90's to early 2000's on Fox. It airs on Chiller right now. I know its not the same show but its worth a look for people that like weird stories.
