what was your first place you went to out of the state or out of the country. i never went out of country, but the first place i went to out of state, and i will always remember as a childhood fave, was going to Las Vegas, NV. i have a cousin up there, and we went there just for fun. was always jealous that my mom and pop, or my granny could be in the casino winning money, while i got tickets which were worthless in my book. but hey, nothing i could do, right? it was second best, real close to a casino. good games, and a lot of those coin-operated rides. (BTW, what were your fave of those rides, if you know what i'm talking about). they also had some good pinball machines. one close to mine which i can associate with early 90's was Williams "addams family".
second was Gulfport, MS. I'd always love going to visit family in there, although we had to land in New Orleans airport.
so... where was your fave places to visit in the US, or out of the country?
a 90's kid, and i'm damn proud of it!

Out of state was no big deal for sure seeing how I live right on the VA/NC border. Out of the country, the Grand Cayman's on a cruise back in 2004.

My first time leaving the country was back in April 1996, when I went to Hong Kong to meet a girl I became pen pals with several months earlier after I got my first Internet service. Can't believe it was 15 years ago already!!!

We went to New Orleans when I was 3 back in 1979. I posted the pic of the hippies letting me play their guitar awhile back. I remember I left my Winnie the Pooh in the Motel and we had to go back after 10 minutes of driving to get it.

Went to Hot Springs, AR back in the late 80s.

We drove to New York and then Canada from Texas back in 2001.

First trip out of state was most likely just into New Hampshire (lived in Maine). First trip out of country was technicly Canada on a cruise. We were only there a good 20 minutes, but whatever. It's so close to Maine though (just like new hampshire) I didn't consider it a big trip. First big trip out of the country was to Holland in 2001. The only other out of country trip was to here, Guam.

While we may have gone to Indiana to visit relatives when I was still a baby the first out of state trip I really remember is in 1993 when I was 14. We went to Niagara Falls. It's also my first and only out of country trip since we also visited The Canadian Side of the falls too. While we were there we visited the Ripley's Believe It or Not museum which was pretty cool.

First time and only time out of the country was to Vancouver, but it was to catch a cruise ship for Alaska back in '07.

Oh yea we went Brownsville, TX once too to visit Mexico. We drove there at night. There is this long stretch of road (almost 100 miles) with not a single place to stop. It was very dark and to this day I have not been able to see that many stars in the sky.

We stayed in a motel in Brownsville and walked accoss the boarder to Matamoros, Mexico. The people were nice, but it was very dirty over there. We road the busses they had which had no air conditioning. I remember is was sooooo hot.

The Motel we staid in didn't have cable and just had a master antenna. The TV only got like 3 stations One was PBS and two were spanish. That trip kind of sucked.

Well, first time out of state would be when I was like 2 when my folks moved from New York to Virginia. =P

First time out of country...I guess 1998, but not sure if it actually counts because of where I went. We took a cruise to the Bahamas.

The other time out of country was last year, when I moved here to Japan.

Our first trip out of state (aside from grocery trips to New Jersey) was visiting Walt Disney World in the late 80s.

As for the first time out of the country, my first and only time was when me and my brother went to visit relatives in Ireland back in 1996.

First visit out-of-state was way before I could remember. We live at the most northern part of Virginia, so Maryland and D.C. are close by, and considering we visit my grandparents in Connecticut (used to be Maryland) twice a year it happens quite often.

First out of the country was when we took a cruise to the Caribbean around 2005 or 2006, I think. Next time was when I went to France last July.

My family and I only went out of the country once (I live in the U.S.) and that was back in 1994 when I was only 4 years old at the time. My family and I went to Canada as a vacation for a few days. I've also been to a few other states like New York, Virginia, Connecticut, and Ohio.

I was born in the former Jugoslavia; my family emigrated to Canada when I was not yet 1 1/2. I'll use that as a starting point. When I was 4 or 5, we went to Lansing, Michigan to see some family friends. That's not particularly exotic, but it was still a nice trip.

Well besides going to the shopping malls and such in VA and MD, I went to the Outer Banks in NC when I was 8 months old in 1984.

I went to Vancouver and Victoria in British Columbia, back in 1990.

My parents took me on a road trip to Yellowstone Park when I was 1, so that was my first time out of state. I think I went to Canada for the first time when I was about 6 or 7...but my first (and only time) overseas was a 2 week school trip to Europe I went on when I was 14.

Out of state: Going to Pittsburgh, PA for a family reunion back in the summer of '91. The rental car broke down and we ended up having to be towed back a portion of the way. lol

Out of country: Going to Discount Lion--I mean, African Lion Safari in Canada back in summer of '92 with my church's day camp. I remember that vividly because whenever we went to Canada, we got to have a Blue Bird instead of the regular ol' cheese bus.

My first 3-4 times out of state were all for Six Flags Illinois.

In 1996 I went to the Netherlands with family for 10 days. I really want to go back, but England or Japan would be my first picks if I could afford something like that again.
