My memories of this film are vague, but I know it was made for television only. I'm fairly certain the movie was on in the mid to late 80's. I thought at first Michael Landon starred in the film, but I checked his filmography and turned up no dice.

What I remember about the film: The film was about a boy (I think he may have been blonde-headed) who had "healing" powers. IIRC, he could heal people by touching them. I vaguely remember one scene where the boy was in a pond or lake of some kind, and he put his hand under the water, and a trail of bubbles shot forth. Like I said before, I thought Michael Landon was the father of the boy in the movie, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe the man just looked like Michael Landon to me (I would've been around 8-10 years old). Sadly, this is all I can remember of the film, but memories of this movie have plagued me for years and I cannot for the life of me remember anything further. I know I didn't dream this up!

I'm not sure but I think you are talking about the same movie that I am looking for...I remember a movie of a child who could heal, he was adopted by a family who couldn't have children and one day his "father" was outside in his shop working and cut his finger and the boy healed it. He spent the rest of the series looking for his mother and healing people. His mother had him at a hospital and when the nurses came back to bring him back to her she was gone. I'm not sure if it is the same series or not but I have been searching for years trying to find it as well. I had thought also so that it was Michael Landon in it but I guess it wasn't. Hope this helps in any way.

Yes, I'm thinking it must be that as well, an episode of Highway to Heaven. The plot & subject matter you described fits in well with that show too.

I'm a big Michael Landon fan and I know for sure he didn't play a father in a movie fitting that description..but I'm thinking it could've very well been a "Highway to Heaven" episode like others mentioned.

I only had the vaguest recollection of this movie, but CruelDreams helped me to remember more. I have thought about this movie for years and years, but cannot find it anywhere. It's maddening!
