Around the mid-90s,NBC ran a TV special called The Greatest TV Shows You' ve Never Seen. It was about a number of unsold TV pilots produced in the 70s and 80s that never went anywhere. Some of the shows actually looked promising, but most were just hillariously bad. Check them out:

I remember this special and the unairred pilot for the Lost-like tv show. In fact when I first saw Lost on tv... I was like, there was supposed to be a show like this but never got picked up! What about the all the tv movies that were supposed to be pilots for tv series that never got picked up?

"The Man with The Power" looks interesting to me, lots of possibilities.

i remember a movie from 1979 that was suppose to get picked up as a series but was'nt. It was called "Hunter's Moon". about a rancher family murdered by a thug rancher and his gang next door. However, one son lived and noone new it. He would dress in this white animal fur coat and go after all the people who were involved. I really liked it but it was never picked up. I love looking at these shows that never were. Has anyone seen the pilot W.A.L.T.E.R that aired in the summer of 1984? The show was not picked up but they aired the pilot in July of that year. If it was picked up there would have been guests spots on After Mash and vice-versa. they both were in St. Louis.

Thanks for this, really interesting. I actually like the premise of "The Bellinis".

                "Poochinski" looks downright terrifying.
