So as not to go all "funkadelic" on the 70's music thread I decided to post this rare song separately. Here's an example of classic Seventies Funk.

Little Richard III (LR3) had a minor hit on soul music stations along the eastern seaboard in the early 70's. I listened to this song on AM radio station WRAP in Norfolk, VA.

Last time I heard this was 38 years ago.

You should've seen me listening to my little portable radio all night long. Used to fall asleep with that radio on. WRAP (AM 850) was a trip all by itself.

I actually had an Ampex cassette recorder that I used to save songs off the radio. If I had kept some of those cassettes they would be a bit of radio history today. WRAP was taken over by WNIS, news/talk radio in the 80's.

Good ol' edd in bell-bottoms and platforms walking down the street with the funky groove. Yes I dig.
