I love BMW. It was my favorite show out of all the TGIF programs and watching it now always takes me back to my old room on a friday night watching BMW while playing with legos and eating pizza, and crushing on Topanga.

My favorite season is the second when they go to junior high. The show was funny without being over cheesy like some shows (ahem Full House). I will say I lost interest in the later years cause they jumped ahead 2 years. All of a sudden Corey and the gang was going to college. I re-discovered it tho years later when they would air it in the afternoon on ABC Family and watching some of the "older" episodes I enjoyed them as I could relate now to what the story was about.

I just watched the episode "And Then There Was Shaun" which is a classic BMW episode, and just watching it I felt like making a post about it.

So share some of your Boy Meets World thoughts.

Lol, YES! I remember that haha. Wasn't Mick Foley on an episode too or is that just a case of my brain putting wrestling in everything again?

Well I was a little too old to be playing with lego's when TGIF I was born in 86 but I loved that whole line up, They don't have fun things like that for kids these days. I would make sure I would never miss ABC TGIF on Firday nights and then set my alarm clock to be up by 8 for One Saturday Morning and FoxKids lol

Coincidence, I recently started watching the series in order. I'm in the middle of season 2 right now. Yeah this show is very nostalgic for me. Me & my family would always watch TGIF every Friday night in the 90's.

The Monkees appeared on Boy Meets World too. Mike Nesmith wasn't there but the other three were. I think it was around the time all four Monkees did the Justus album in the mid 90's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usDi-Ensv9A

I used to have a real big crush on Topanga/ Danielle Fishel.

I personally didn't care for it past season 1. Season 2 was okay, but beyond that, just wasn't the same. I liked the fact that it started off as a comedy. I hated the fact it became a teen drama. I also liked the fact that Eric wasn't an idiot in season 1, but he was dumbed down as the show went on.

I actually love all the seasons until the final season of the show. They really dumbed down the humor and turned Eric into a blithering moron to the point where "dumb Eric" was not funny.

Eric was always my favorite character even in the early seasons, when he was just a normal guy.

I guess the show was ending anyway, so what's the point in lamenting over it? Actually my favorite episode of all time is in the final season, but for the most part it's pretty blah. The final episode where the say goodbye to Feeny and move to NY was totally awesome though, it was a great way to end the show.

I will agree. I didn't like how every season Eric was becoming dumber. Although episodes focused on him are some of my favorites and there are some really funny episodes where he is flat out stupid.

I liked how all through out season 3 his goal was college. It wasn't like other shows where in one episode bam the character gets into college. We actually see Eric try and looks to Feeny for wisdom and they really form a bond. Yet after all that he doesn't get in, well at least not right away.

I will say I love the last episode, ending it Feeny's classroom. Yet I agree also the final season kind of bugs me, particularly with how Cory Topanga Shaun and Eric all go to New York together. That was just cheesy. It should of been just Cory and Topanga and it was time in their lives to move on and say good bye to friends and family. Cory and Shaun should of went their separate ways like how a lot friends have to in real life. Then again its tv.

I am a huge fan of BMW, it is on early in the morning on ABC Family. A few weeks ago my 4 yr old daughter was sitting with me and watching it, makes you feel young and old at the same time...

I only ever watched it twice, and it was the same episode. Involved the moon and 1969. Meh.

the show was at its best from season 2 through season 4. I didnt like their senior year of high school or college years as much. They were still good....but they werent as good when cory and the gang were lower classmen.

Oh yeah, another thing I disliked. All the contradiction with the characters (if you can call it that). Later eps (I did still watch every once in a while, and I do recall the stuff about Eric trying to get into college and didn't mind that), seem to give off this strange impression that Corey, Shaun, and Topanga were always friends. It's like season 1 never happened, because there, we clearly see that they never were as she was the "strange girl". That's something else I missed about her character! I liked Topanga as the "strange" girl. It made her more interesting to me as a character. They also seemed to forget that Topanga had an older sister and I really wished Minkus' character could've stayed on there (but I know that the actor went on to do the short-lived Torkelsons and there was a BMW ep where they were seniors, I think, and Minkus was in the ep and they asked where he was and he said on the other side of the school, which was funny).

But never mind. I still find the first two seasons the best, and season 1's set up was perfect for me. It was a comedy. I watched the show for that reason, I didn't want all the extra drama the show seemed to get as it went on, even though (at the time) I did like season 2. Season 3 was meh to me, and season 4, forget it. Beyond that, I watched scattered eps.

So, am I the only one who had a problem with the show's dynamic beyond season 1?

My favorite episode was definitely "Chick Like Me" from either season 3 or 4. And I too had a crush on Danielle Fishel. This was one of my favorite shows as a kid and now I'm on a quest to collect all 7 seasons on DVD. So far I have seasons 1 and 2.

Picking up Community season 2 the other day I saw at Best Buy they have season 6 out. I plan on getting all the seasons but the problem is past season 2 there are no DVD extras. The first 2 seasons had commentaries from the cast which were great to hear.

One episode I do like in the later seasons with Eric is "Brotherly Shove" Eric is not his dumb self in this episode, he's more down to earth and upset by Cory not calling him to clean out the garage and get rid of their old stuff, their memories. Instead Cory has Shaun and Topanga help. You really see how far the brothers have come in this episode and how far apart they have grown.

I loved the show. I have to say that while I enjoyed it (right up until before they went to college) I was really sad to see Jason Marsden's charactor leave. Ha! Guess he and Minkus went to the same house ;). To bad they didn't bring them back because "Almost Home" only lasted one season with not a lot of episodes at all. I know that Jason and Will are really close friends outside of the show. I don't have to feel bad for Jason for not being on the show in later seasons because the guy has got to have one of (if not the most for me) recognizable voice over cartoon voices in the country. His resume is huge.
