Saw this article. I didn't realize Voltron is from St. Louis. I always assumed it was a Japanese show before it hit America. The company in St. Louis is now in talks to bring it to the big screen.

Interesting article on how it started and the evolution of Voltron.

Ahhh yes, Voltron's home is St. Louis.
Now all my questions surrounding this structure have been answered.

Voltron on the big screen would be the bestest thing since Transformers on the big screen.

It was in conjunction with Toei animation. Peter Keefe use material from GoLion wich was a Japanese anime.

They edited/re-asemble many things from the Japanese cartoon to develope Voltron.

Unfortunately, being socially inept isn't so subtle or wonderful.

Unfortunately, it has come back. They didn't even try to make it like the original series. I know that it takes place like 10 years after the original series, but the characters are just so different. They don't sound the same or act the same. The lions look completely different. I have no idea why they changed them so much. If Voltron is supposedly the greatest force in the universe, why would he need changing?
Don't pay any attention to the evil spirited and dead of heart. They're not worth your time.

I think it's most likely because it's a cartoon for 7 year olds, not overly nostalgic 30 year olds.

Judging by how many people went and saw those movies and how much money they made, I wouldn't be so sure that was sarcasm. Lots of people liked all the Transformers movies.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I am a huge fan of Voltron. I watched it on Toonami after school everday. Pidge was the coolest IMO.
