Since the purpose of this was to go down memory lane about hometowns, we should also interject fond memories about where we lived.
I was born in Chicago and did most of my growing up in Lombard and Oakbrook, IL.
-My dad driving me and my sister to 7-11 and getting Slurpees and Lemonheads (too much sugar).
-Other children at the Toys R Us being really ghetto and removing toys from thier packages in the aisles.
-Not being allowed to ride my bike outside a certain radius.
-My parents' huge vegetable garden with green beans, tomatoes, and eggplants.
-Running around houses still under construction and taking nails, boards, and carpet to build a hideout in the woods.
-Portillo's when it had ONE location.
-The smell of our Mustang and our Buick station wagon when they were NEW!
