Hey everybody. I'm hoping somebody out there has a better memory than me, and recalls this particular children's record album with read along story book. Now. my memory is kind of hazy, but I remember the story had to do with a child who lived with a family of theives, and they always picked on him because he never stole anything. So he goes out (maybe to prove them wrong about him, or to run away...) and gets lost in the forest while trying to find his way home. The forest had some type of curse on it that made people disappear if they were still in it after dark. There was a song (I think it was sung by the trees) that went something like: "What are you doing here? Is it you have no fear? The legend says you'll disappear, alone in (something)-Wood". That's all I can remember.

I was born in '75, so this album would have probably been available somewhere around '83-'85 if that helps.

Humm... I guess this doesn't ring a bell with anyone. I seem to have hit a dead end with this one. The only other thing I (think) I remember is the characters name was Nathaniel...

Nathaniel The Grublet is what I believe you're looking for.

Actually I've never heard of it, I entered in the lyrics into Google and found it pretty quick, good ol' Google.

Wow! That brought back a whole lot of memories! I tried searching the lyrics on Yahoo several times, but never tried Google. Thanks for everyone's help! :D
