i'm trying to remember/find anything to do with an old children's television series they played in canada back in the 80's. unfortunately i can't remember the title, but it was something along the lines of a librarian who had been trapped in a castle by a witch and was forced to read books spit out by a magic book machine. each episode a different book was read aloud. i suppose you could say this was an educational show for very young children? anyway, there were two black mirrors that only the witch could travel through at the top of a staircase and at the bottom. the "magic book machine" was very colourful and had a bunch of (i want to say) swirley knobs and buttons that made funny noises while the books were being "created" for her to read.
i think the librarian's name was lillian or marion, or something.
am i crazy? i know for a fact this series once existed, however short-lived or low budget.
i've searched the internet for a while with no luck, but i figured it was worth a shot asking here! any help would be great. thanks! xoxo,
